Seeing the Truth!

I saw this quote with a picture of Morgan Freeman the guy that played God in two different movies. I have always liked him as an actor. I was curious about his faith. I did some research and found he believes in some strange faith that believes in Zoroastrianism. I was not familiar with this faith. But here is a quote about Morgan Freeman:

"Along the way, Freeman, who has long identified himself as agnostic, discovered his religion: Zoroastrianism. "It is a belief system that is intrinsically me: 'Good thoughts, good words, good deeds' pretty much sums it up,'" he said.

Zoroastrianism grew out of Persian and Assyria before Christianity. As I was reading Isaiah today there was a message to Israel from the prophet Isaiah. I think it fits Morgan Freeman. Mr. Freeman has researched many religions. So, he knows the basics of Christianity and he still refuses to believe.

"Look, a righteous king is coming! And honest princes will rule under him. Each one will be like a shelter in the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a parched land. Then everyone who has eyes will be able to see the truth, and everyone who has ears will be able to hear it. Even the hotheads will be full of sense and understanding. Those who stammer will speak out plainly. In that day, ungodly fools will not be heroes. Scoundrels will not be respected. For fools speak foolishness and make evil plans. They practice ungodliness and spread fall teachings about the Lord." (Isaiah 32:1-6)

I am amazed that people who know the truth of Jesus do not believe!

As a follower of Christ, I need to make sure people can SEE the truth of Jesus through me, and I need to be able to share the truths of God's word. My life needs to be a life that represents the Gospel. In the end, it will be the choice of each man and woman whether they believe. I hate calling them stupid, but the definition of stupid listed above seems to fit.

Right after the message from Isaiah in chapter 32 is a message to Assyria, the birthplace of Morgan Freeman's religion. Their empire failed. God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, wins. Jesus won the ultimate victory by defeating death on the cross. The truth is in Him. I pray that people around the world, as they search for the truth of faith, will encounter Jesus and believe in him. I pray they will experience the love of the Father and return that kind of love to him!
