Yesterday was a hard day! LOL!

Yesterday was a hard day.

I drove my little red truck to the church first thing in the morning and I pulled in the church parking lot and there sits two beautiful motorcycles. I just about cried. You see, the weather yesterday was PERFECT riding weather. It was a warm, beautiful, sun-filled day and my motorcycle was back in Bluffton. BOOOOO!

I could use some WIND-THERAPY! For those of you who know, you will completely understand.

Although yesterday was a perfect day to ride and I missed it. Right now my life is quite the amazing, wonderful, adventure, it might even seem somewhat perfect. But, it is not. This coming weekend is packed full. I take off tonight to head back to Bluffton. Tomorrow I am getting ready for some help moving some of the heavier items to New Castle. Saturday we pick up trailer(s), load, unload, and return the trailer(s). It will be a long day. Then I preach on Sunday, jump in a plane for a Denver conference, return on Wednesday, and keep it rolling!

I am praising God for his amazing plan and as I was reading 2 Corinthians 12 today, I was thanking God I do not live a life of EASE. Paul had his struggles, we all do. God knows we need trials, trouble, and a few nights of lost sleep in order to keep us dependent upon him.

“Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:8-10, NLT)

I will be exhausted in the coming weeks. I will need to rely upon the strength of the Lord, heavily. AND that is exactly what the Lord wants me to do. I have to admit I look forward to getting moved, getting settled, and being able to enjoy a day off doing nothing. BUT, I know that God will be with me through all the busyness and I love it.

Can you rejoice in being tired? Can you rejoice facing a full schedule, not getting all the rest you need, and being stressed about deadlines? I CAN, but it is not ME. I can only rejoice in the midst of a whirlwind because the LORD GIVES ME HIS STRENGTH. Thank You Lord for sustaining me!

HE WILL GIVE ME HIS STRENGTH. Praise God!
