Do you need HEARING-AIDS?

Ok, today, I was listening to a podcast on my Apple Airpods and when I finished I got a message that I can use the Airpods to take a hearing test. So, I decided to try it. I have felt, the older I get, that I am losing my hearing, no big surprise! So I took the test and my left ear was normal, but my RIGHT EAR had mild hearing loss. I should probably go get a professional test instead of relying on my Airpods. After I got done with the test the App even said I could set my airpods as "HEARING-AIDS." I declined the opportunity. I wonder how accurate it is.

Those of you who know me, have heard me say "when a word is mentioned in scripture multiple times we need to stop and take notice." As I was reading the first chapter of Hebrews today, I realized that the phrase "God says," or "God spoke," or "God never said," is recorded TEN TIMES. God is speaking all the time. ARE WE LISTENING?

DO we need HEARING AIDS for God?

"Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe." (Hebrews 1:1-2, NLT)

YES, God is speaking to us today through his SON Jesus Christ. He does that in SO MANY WAYS. He speaks through scripture, through prayer, through the Holy Spirit, through Creation, through circumstances, through other believers, and through dreams and visions. GOD is always SPEAKING. Here is another passage that illustrates God is speaking to US.

"When the Spirit of the truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said, 'The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.'" (John 16:13-15, NLT)

Are you hearing the VOICE of GOD speaking to you?

God is speaking, he is always speaking.

We just need to be listening in anticipation for his voice and we need to be aware of those hearing AIDS he has given us: His word, creation, circumstances, fellow believers, dreams, and visions. Everyday, I expect God to speak to me. Sometimes I am more in tune with his voice than others. But, it seems as my faith grows, I hear him clearer. The more I hear him, the more, I become aware of his presence.

I praise God for his beautfiul voice and his desire to communicate with me. Just think how annoyed you are when you are speaking and the person you are talking to is NOT LISTENING. The GOOD NEWS? God is patient with us and will not give up on speaking to us. THANK YOU LORD!
