The Cause: Get people to CRAVE sharing the Gospel!

Favorite Scriptures Day #6

Stephanie flies home today. YEAH!!!!! I guess after almost 47 years of marriage, I have gotten use to having her around. It is just not the same, even with Keegan, Klayton, Maverick, and Riley to fill our home, the house just isn't the same without Stephanie. I feel the same way about some of the people I recently left in ministry. Paxton, Shiloh, Nate, Shayna, Glenda, Larry, Amber, Kayla, Rose, my CMA family, my neighborhood at CLCG, and this list could go on and on. But I think it was Solomon that wrote "for everything there is a season" (Ecclesiastes 3:1) and really the season HAS changed, the ministry HAS changed, but the CAUSE is still the same. I am not hosting Discipleship Groups like I was, but I am still making disciples, that is the CAUSE I am passionate about!

Have you ever thought, "What is my cause?  That's just another way of saying what is my purpose? To me, saying, "my cause" is more passionate than your purpose. My cause is MAKING DISCIPLES. I am passionate about making disciples. In the past, that meant me hosting discipleship groups. Now it means me trying to motivate, persuade, encourage, and inspire people to go out and make disciples. This CAUSE is harder than just doing it yourself! LOL! It takes PATIENCE and PERSEVERANCE. Most people who know me, know those are NOT my finest qualities. So when I read my NEXT FAVORITE SCRIPTURE: I was encouraged:

"Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don't worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes!" (Psalm 37: 3-7, NLT)

I DO TRUST IN THE LORD COMPLETELY. This season has just changed, yet I feel God working and trust he is moving in the hearts of people to get them to CRAVE sharing the gospel. That is really my cause. I want to get people to CRAVE sharing God's word. I just have to be patient in his presence and watch him work. I know the Lord is helping me and I am truly thankful of that. I NEED him every hour as I pursue this CAUSE he has placed on my heart. I know he placed it there because who in their right mind would come out of retirement to do what I am doing. It is GOD!

I have told a lot of people lately, God did not bring you this far to abandon you. He will provide. His plan is perfect and it is complete. There are no surprises and no barriers to keep him from fulfilling his purpose through me. That is a praise and even though things have changed, his plan is STILL IN PLACE and his PURPOSES will come about. PRAISE GOD!
