URGENCY of my MISSION
Yesterday was a fun day. Stephanie and I made the two hour trip up to GARRETT, INDIANA to watch our granddaughters participate in the HERITAGE DAYS celebration MISS GARRETT. Elle won her age group last year and performed as her last duty as well as helped crown the new winner. Rian participated for the first time. She is such a beautifully talented young lady. She played her Clarinet and wow it was so good. She also modeled her hand-crafted macramΓ© skirt. We are so proud of both Rian and Elle.
Every time I get to spend time with my adult kids and my grandkids it is a special time. Not to be filled with gloom, but I realize my time with them is short. Let's just say this, "I am a whole lot closer to the END of MY LIFE than the beginning!" AND with that thought in mind, the urgency of my mission becomes SO APPARENT.
I want ALL MY DAUGHTERS, MY GRANDKIDS, their SPOUSES, and GREAT-GRANDKIDS to have a DEEP RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS. Right now, some do and some don't. I have to admit I have missed many opportunities to share JESUS with them. I have regrets that I have NOT DONE ENOUGH to get them to share MY LOVE AND PASSION for JESUS.
If you know me at all, whenever I read the book of REVELATION it always gives me a SENSE OF URGENCY. We have no idea how short our time really is. Jesus could return any day. I could pass away any day. How long will GOD wait until the FINAL JUDGMENT? Here is what I read today:
"Then everyone -- the kings of the earth, the rulers, the generals, the wealthy the powerful and every slave and free person -- all hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they cried to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to survive?" (Revelation 6:15-17, NLT)
The day of wrath is coming. It could be today or it could be hundreds or thousands of years in the future. Our lives could end today or they could end years from now. Every day could be the last for me and for each of my family members. (I know, that is such a heart wrenching thought!) TODAY, is the day. The LORD is withholding his judgment. He is patient as he wants NO ONE to perish. I pray ALL my daughters, all my grandkids, their spouses, and my great-grandkids come to LOVE THE LORD before the great day of wrath comes, or before they take their final breath. It weighs on my heart like a 2 ton weight.
My URGENT REQUEST/ MY MISSION: Don't waste time! Share JESUS with your family. Demonstrate by your life the importance of FAITH in JESUS. Plant SEEDS, WATER their FAITH, and prepare for the HARVEST .
I am well into seeding and watering. Thank you..
