How can I pray for you today!

I have to admit, I slept much of the day away yesterday after church. And when I wasn't sleeping, I was! LOL! I was a shell of myself! But, oh, how amazingly rewarding was this weekend for my soul! Since coming to New Castle, I have not had much chance to engage in what I call "STREET MINISTRY," taking the gospel to the streets and outside the walls of the church. That is not a complaint. God has just placed me in a different season of my faith journey. But, I was so blessed by the eight hours of praying with people and hitting the streets with the people of South Memorial. I was blessed beyond measure. I remember thinking throughout the day on Saturday, THIS IS THE CHURCH! I envision this weekend is exactly what the early church would have been about.

We have a lot of work to do before the JESUS' SECOND COMING. We are in the last days and there are so many souls out there that need Jesus. As I read more of Isaiah 11 this morning, still a little tired from the weekend, these verses inspire me to leave no stone unturned as we near paradise!

"In that day the wolf and the lamb will live together, the leopard will lie down with the baby goat. The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion, and a little child will lead them all. The cow will graze near the bear. The cub and calf will lie down together. The lion will eat hay like a cow. The baby will play safely near the hole of a cobra. Yes, a little child will put its hand in a nest of deadly snakes without harm. Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for as the waters fill the sea so the earth will be filled with people who know the Lord." (Isaiah 11:6-9, NLT)

This beautiful description is how life was supposed to be. Death was not God's design, neither our death or the animals of his creation. When sin entered and man chose to separate himself from his creator, death became a choice. Conflict is also a choice. Conflict is not the design. It happened because of man's choices.

When Jesus returns and the final judgment sounds paradise will be restored for those that love the Lord. All of the description of Isaiah 11 will be realized and I praise God for it. I cannot wait! BUT, WE HAVE WORK TO DO. We have more people to share the gospel with and we have more souls that will become eternal followers of the Lord. May every one of those prayers from Saturday or Sunday end in just ONE MORE for the trip to Paradise!

If you haven't repented of your sin, accepted what Jesus did for you on the cross, dying for your sins, or if you have not committed your life to Jesus, TODAY could be that day. give your life to the Lord.

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." (Romans 10:9-10, ESV)
