It SOUNDED SO BAD!

 

I have a secret to tell. I love to sing. I have grown up loving to sing. I remember as a young boy, I really have no idea how old, I got up in front of the church and I think I sang the song, "He Touched Me." (I am pretty sure that was the song! LOL!) I just love to sing, MOST OF THE TIME. So a few weeks ago at church my MICROPHONE WAS LEFT ON for the last song. I was singing away, pretty loud, and then realized the microphone was left on. Stephanie noticed, Keegan, noticed, and I was completely embarrassed. I went home and listened to the recorded service and was horrified! IT SOUNDED SO BAD! You know how you sound when you are singing with headphones on? That was me. I will NOT share which service that was, but NOW I SHUT MY wireless microphone off. So if you wonder why I sometimes don't have my microphone on at the beginning of my sermon it's because I am not leaving control of my microphone in the hands of tech. LOL!

"With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! In that wonderful day you will sing: 'Thank the Lord! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is! Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world. Let all the people of Jerusalem shout his praise with joy! For great is the Holy One of Israel who lives among you.'" (Isaiah 12:3-6, NLT)

I really can't help singing for the joy of my salvation. I just love what the Lord has done and continues to do in my life and throughout the world. I just don't get how we can sit passively and listen to someone else sing without being completely overwhelmed and want to join them! GOOD VOICE or BAD!

The message of this scripture is clear. MAKE KNOWN ALL THAT GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU! It seems strange to even have to say that. I can't imagine being quiet about the power of my God. I AM SAVED because of the Lord Jesus Christ. I do not have to fear anything ever again. GREAT IS THE LORD AND SO WORTHY OF PRAISE!

Heavenly Father, forgive me for not always shouting from the MOUNTAIN TOPS all the wonderful things you have done. You are a marvelous KING and I am so unworthy of your amazing love, but you love me anyway. I pray that YOUR MESSAGE of SALVATION will be made known throughout all the earth. Use me Lord, as a vessel to carry that message and to represent your faithful followers SINGING SONGS OF JOY. I love you dearly Lord! You alone are WORTHY OF PRAISE! AMEN!
