We mourn with Grand Blanc, Michigan!

Just hearing about the deadly attack that happened yesterday greatly saddens my heart. I WEEP for the people, the ones who lost loved ones, the ones who were injured and the countless others who were traumatized by the entire incident. 

I do not believe as they believe. I truly think they are misguided in their view of God and all of their interpretations of scripture. But, I STAND WITH THEM in this hour of mourning regardless whether I share their beliefs. I will not fall into the same trap of those who opposed Charlie Kirk. I refuse to rejoice at the death of anyone -- ENEMY, SINNER, or SAINT. 

I was reading Isaiah 15 this morning and Isaiah mourned for Moab. Moab was a grossly misguided nation. Isaiah knew that and yet he still mourned for them as they faced the judgment of God. They worshipped idols and they stood adamantly against Israel and God. But some good things did come from Moab. Ruth was one of those good things because she was apart of the roots of Jesse, David and the line of Jesus. I in no way believe the terrible events of this weekend in Michigan are a judgment from God. The man who did this was not working at the direction of God. But like Isaiah, my heart weeps for them.

"My heart weeps for Moab. Its people flee to Zoar and Eglath-shelishiyah. Weeping, they climg the road to Luhith. Their cries of distress can be heard all along the road to Horonaim. Even the waters of Nimrim are dried up! The grassy banks are scorched. The tender plants are gone; nothing green remains. The people grab their possessions and carry them across the Ravine of Willows. A cry of distress echoes through the land of Moab from one end to the other - from Eglaim and Beer-elim." (Isaiah 15:5-8, NLT)

Yes, it is OK TO MOURN with those who have rejected our God and it is ok to mourn with those who we might consider false teachers of God's word. I do not wish them destruction. I DO NOT WISH BAD THINGS to happen to those we stand against. I wish one thing -- I wish they would come to know the real, one true God, to forsake false teaching and worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I wish they would come to know the REAL JESUS and REPENT of their ways. I DO LOVE THEM and the ones that were lost will not be judged by me in their death. They will be judged by God Almighty. 

Heavenly Father, we mourn today with the people of the LDS church in Michigan. We mourn with the lost life and the potential lost souls, including the man who caused all the pain and destruction. Please Lord provide your peace and your comfort as they wake this morning to lives that have been changed forever. I pray safety Lord for all people in our nation as our society has turned so far from you. Help me, help us do our part Lord to love people and show them your perfect love. Lord we need you now more than ever! Amen!
