GEN Z and REVIVAL! the battle for the lives of GEN-Z!

 

I woke up at 3am, like usual, and as I often do, I read something. I found an article by the New York Times that was putting a negative twist on the growing number of young people, GEN Zers, coming to the Lord and adopting CHRISTIAN VALUES.( New York Times: Why So Many Gen Z-ers are Drawn to Conservative Christianity )The writer viewed this as horrifying and the beginning of the end of democracy. I have to admit, even at 3am in the morning, I just couldn't believe what I was reading. This opinion piece is another outright attack on our FAITH. 

How can you even respond to that non-sensical logic?

I have heard many people talking about the growing number of young people returning to the Church. The trend has been dominant since COVID. I hear the word REVIVAL spoken about on a regular basis. Instead of calling them a "threat to society" I call them refreshing. They are breathing new life into the church and I praise God daily for them. But besides being joyful over this new group of believers how should we respond to the NAYSAYERS, those that promote evil.  

"Your kindness to the wicked does not make them do good. Although others do right, the wicked keep doing wrong and take no notice of the Lord's majesty. O Lord, they pay no attention to your upraised fist. Show them your eagerness to defend your people. Then they will be ashamed. Let your fire consume your enemies." (Isaiah 26:10-11, NLT)

Despite the attacks from the wicked, God treats them with kindness. He is eager to defend us agains the attacks of the opposition. God still desires them to join his flock. He is patient and kind. 

It is good to "read the opposition." We need to be fully aware of what they say, do, and think. But, we DO NOT NEED to respond ATTACK for ATTACK. That is not who GOD IS and that is not who he has called US TO BE! We don't need to attack the opposition. We do not need to be defensive or offensive. All we need to do is to love them, be kind, and pray we have opportunities to show them who GOD IS. We need to fight for the GEN-Z. The battle is real. Forget the opposition, share the GOSPEL

Do we really trust the Lord he will deal with his "opposition?" Do we really trust that he supports us?

"But for those who are righteous, the way is not steep and rough. You are a God who does what is right, and you smooth out the path ahead of them. Lord, we show your trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart's desire is to glorify your name." (Isaiah 26:7-8, NLT)

We need not worry about the opposition, the evil, or anyone else who stands against God and his people. AND because of that we are free to just be kind. We need to let GOD solve this world's conflicts and be at peace, obeying his law, and completely trusting him. SHARE THE GOSPEL!
