God Knows! He made you!

 

I have a hobby that started about three years ago. I have a laser engraver and love to use it. I started doing laser engraving as a way to supplement our ministry financially along with the desire to use it as a tool for ministry. Now that the focus has changed, I am not really using it to raise ministry funds, but use it much more for personal projects. I engrave tumblers and make all sorts of crafts. It provides such a great time of "escape" and "relaxation." I design most of my projects but some of them I get from places like ETSY. Stephanie has also been working on becoming familiar with the laser and has started to work on it as well. It is now another one of those great things we do together.

When I get an idea for a laser project, it takes quite a bit of work to get the design just right. It is so much fun watching the project become a reality. There are always many failures leading up to the successful projects. It is fulfilling to see the final product. Being my MICRO-version of a creator is fulfilling. 

When I was reading Isaiah 29 this morning about God being the Potter and us being the clay, I was thinking about my creative projects on the Laser. HE is the GREAT CREATOR. We are no match of his wisdom, grace, mercy, and love. Why anyone would try to live a life separate from him is beyond me!

"What sorrow awaits those who try to hide their plans from the Lord, who do their evil deeds in the dark! 'The Lord can't see us,' they say, 'He doesn't know what's going on!' How foolish can you be? He is the Potter, and he is certainly greater than you, the clay! Should the created thing say of the one who made it, 'He didn't make me?" Doe a jar ever say, 'The potter who made me is stupid?" (Isaiah 29, 15-16, NLT)

It kind of made me chuckle to think any of my laser projects who shout out that I am stupid! LOL! So why would I think I can hide my sinful actions from the Lord. HE IS THE CREATOR! He knows! He knows of my sinfulness, before I even commit the sin. He knows my weaknesses, my flaws, my cracks! Just like I know every flaw, every blemish, every misprint on my laser designs. 

GOD KNOWS! And because he knows, we should turn to him with our repentance, our confessions, and our genuine desire to remove the sins in our life. We should turn to him with our dreams, desires, needs, wants, joys, fears, pains, and all aspects of our lives. HE is the GREAT I AM and can be our helper, if we allow it. So many people try to live lives separate from God, set apart from his greatness. 

Today is the day. Stop all you are doing and turn to the GOD WHO KNOWS US! Ask forgiveness of your sins, repent. Turn to him, call out his name. Believe in him as your SAVIOR because of what he did for us on the cross, taking away our sin and shame. Commit your life fully to him. The beust part about our life with our Creator is that, unlike me, he makes no flaws. He doesn't create junk. He knew exactly what he was doing when he made you. NOW, he just wants you to come to him! It is really quite simple!
