We have created a new way to lie!

 

I really don't understand AI. The extent of my knowledge is that it stands for Artificial Intelligence and as a FORMER SCIENCE FICTION reader, it was the stuff of ROBOT novels and Isaac Asimov. I have started to actually recognize some AI generated videos on FACEBOOK. I understand that really sophisticated AI images are hard to distinguish from the real thing. My one comment is this, 

"We have created a NEW way to LIE." 

It has gotten to the point it is really hard to tell the truth from a lie. I see it mostly with politicians, but it is fashionable to deceive people. It has become acceptable to at the very least "stretch the truth." But a LIE IS A LIE. We were warned that this LYING CULTURE would come!

"For a time is coming when people will no. longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths. But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don't be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you." (2 Timothy 4:3-5, NLT)

This scripture came to mind as I was reading another scripture in Isaiah. While lying has reached a new level with AI and our political leaders, liars have been around forever.

"Now go write down these words. Write them in a book. They will stand until the end of time as a witness that these people are stubborn rebels who refuse to pay attention the Lord's instructions. They tell the seers, 'Stop seeing visions!' They tell the prophets, 'Don't tell us what is right. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies. Forget all this gloom. Get off your narrow path. Stop telling us about you'Holy One of Israel.'" (Isaiah 30:8-11, NLT)

God is TRUTH. JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE! (John 14:6) There is real, rock solid, unwavering truth in this world. It is not AI generated it is GOD GENERATED. The word of God speaks truth and placing those words upon your heart is the key to overcoming the evil LIARS of this world. I am so thankful to no the truth. The LORD is MY ROCK, MY TRUTH, and I will trust in only him. HE ALONE is the reason for all that has happened in my life and I WILL PRAISE HIM for the truth he has placed deep inside me!
