FAST/PRAY/REVIVAL

Some of people have noticed I am in a time of fasting and prayer. I have been fasting from Breakfast and Lunch and will continue to do so for at least the next 40 days. I am fasting for my congregation. I am in a time of pleading before the Lord for answers to several prayers including filling leadership positions, finances, and REVIVAL. Jesus fasted 40 days in the wilderness. Paul had regular times of prayer and fasting. We should also approach the Lord with sincere hearts and minds through prayer and fasting.

I care so much about my FLOCK. We have so much we would love to accomplish for the Kingdom, but like many aspects of life, we do not have the skill, the wisdom, the energy, the determination to reach those goals. We cannot accomplish ANYTHING FOR THE KINGDOM without the power and the might of the Lord of Heavens Armies. I am seeking God's will and direction over these prayers being lifted to him. I am seeking his miraculous hand to intervene and I am seeking his power in using US FOR HIS GLORY.

I am coming up on a year with SMDCOG and I remembered my time of prayer and fasting that took place throughout the process bringing me to New Castle. I vowed 6 weeks of prayer and fasting and on the very LAST DAY of my fasting commitment, I got the call from South Memorial to come to candidate weekend. God heard my calls to him.

I was reading Galatians 4 today and was reminded of the "LABOR PAINS" I went through to join this family of faith at South Memorial Drive Church of God.

"Oh, my dear children! I feel as if I'm going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives." (Galatians 4:39, NLT)

Even though it has been nearly a year, I feel like I am going through those same labor pains for this wonderful congregation. You can hear the tone of Paul's letter. He cares so deeply for this church as I also care for MY CHURCH. I want nothing for them except that they continue to fully develop Christ in their lives. I know all the other things do not matter unless that goal is achieved.

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the midst of my JOY and SORROW, seeking answers to the prayers over my FLOCK. I rejoice because I can see your hand has worked in this assembly over many years. I am filled with joy over the wonderful relationships we have forged over the past 11 months. I ask you continue to guide and direct us along your path. I lift up to you our specific requests. Lord I pray this congregation will be used to help at least 25 people find you and to accept you as their Lord and Savior. I pray that through this congregation we will grow and multiply your kingdom by developing at least 5 DISCIPLE MAKERS in 2026. I pray that you are working right now in the hearts and minds of those names we nailed to the cross. I pray that you are working in the hearts and minds of our congregation to step out of their comfort zone to begin a MULTIPLICATION JOURNEY. I also pray for the practical, the need for an Administrative Assistant, a Worship Leader, and funding for our parking lot repait. Those things seem so minor when our main priority is growing your kingdom, but they are a part of that growth. So I life them up to you. Father, hear my pleas, answer my prayers, and we give you all the glory, honor, and praise for all that you have done, all that you are doing, and all that you are about to do. In the precious Holy Name of Jesus I pray, AMEN!
