Great Opportunities!

Last night we had another CREATIVE TEAM MEETING for South Memorial. I am so encouraged by all the great things we are planning. This church is alive and has an awesome heart for seeking OPPORTUNITIES for GROWTH. I truly love serving here at South Memorial. I treasure the people I treasure their hearts, and I treasure the OPPORTUNITIES to grow God's Kingdom. I do get discouraged at times. Just like other areas of my life, I am a bit impatient and want it now. Yet, God continues his work and I can see it happening. For those moments of encouragement, I am forever grateful. I think Paul had similar thoughts:

"Perhaps I will stay awhile with you, possibly all winter, and then you can send me on my way to my next destination.This time I don't want to make just a short visit and then go right on. I want to come and stay awhile, if the Lord will let me. In the meantime, I will be staying here at Ephesus until the Festival of Pentecost. There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me." (1 Corinthians 16:6-9, NLT)

I am so thankful for this wonderful congregation God has assigned me. I see such great things even though I AM DISCOURAGED at times. (I am not as patient as I should be.) God does provide glimpses of growth and I love to see the expanding opportunities. They always seem to promote themselves at just the right time. I completely trust in God's plan for South Memorial. I am just honored to be selected as their leader. I constantly pray for GOD's WILL and not my own. I pray God will direct each of our steps every day, protect us, provide us with resources and help us to be faithful with those resources. 

Heavenly Father, I praise you for this opportunity serve alongside such a wonderful group of your followers. Please Lord, guide us, protect us, and help us to serve at your will, not my own. Please continue to send people our way that need to grow in their own faith and have a desire to share outside of the walls of South Memorial. We seek your will and your will alone. Amen.

LORD grant us OPPORTUNITIES to GROW YOUR KINGDOM!
