I know a guy!
I don't know about you, but "I KNOW A GUY" who knows everyone. If we need something done at church, he knows just who to ask. I do pick on him about it, but he also has no idea how much I appreciate him. I don't only know a guy, I KNOW THE GUY! The church should be full of people that serve like JESUS served. We need to be filled with people willing to use their SPIRITUAL GIFTS and SKILLS for the KINGDOM.
Do you know your spiritual gifts?
"There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. A spiritual gift is give to each of us so we can help each other." (1 Corinthians 12:4-7, NLT)
What is your spiritual gift? Paul goes on after this verse and he lists several including the gift of wise advice, special knowledge, great faith, healing, performing miracles, prophesy, discernment, speak in unknown languages, or interpret those languages. He tells the church The SPIRIT distributes these gifts. He then goes on in chapter 12 to describe all of us as PARTS of the BODY of CHRIST. The theme is the same. GOD HAS GIFTED US FOR HIS GLORY!
What are your GIFTS?
Often, it is hard for us to talk about our spiritual gifts because it sounds so much like bragging. But it is really good to know. One great way to discover your gifts is to ask others what THEY THINK your spiritual gifts are. You can also take assessments which will help you discover your gifts.
So, MY SPIRITUAL GIFT?
I KNOW STUFF. My top personality characteristic is LEARNING. I love to read. I love to learn and I am always researching. I am amazed at how many people come to me asking about a wide variety of topics, and I realize I know a lot of stuff. I also love sharing that knowledge with others. I also have a gift of organization and planning. I don't like surprises and was never one to thrive on the stress of getting things done at the last minute. That is why I right my sermons two weeks before.
WHAT ARE YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS? GOD designed you with unique gifts, a unique personality, and a unique plan for your life and how you can be used to HELP OTHERS. Are you? Do you feel useful and valuable to people? If not, maybe you are fighting against your spiritual gifts.

This survey is good but you have to print it out, then score it yourself. There are others that you can take online. But, if you don't know your gifts, it is a good test. I would also recommend to pray about it and ask others to help you. THEN USE YOUR GIFTS to help others and to further God's Kingdom. That is why God gave you those gifts in teh first place.
Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for how you made me. I love the personality you have given, I love the desire to serve others. Please Lord do not let my sinful thoughts or my own feelings get in the way of serving you with my gifts. I pray the same thing for all the people in my sphere of influence. I praise you Lord, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Amen!
