What a wonderful partnership!

 

I just love how the Lord continues to work in my life, through scripture, through prayer, and through others. 

This morning I was leading our Boiler Room Prayer at 7am. I read Romans 10:14-15

"But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone else tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, "How beautiful are the feet of the messengers who bring the good news!" (Romans 10:14-15, NLT)

I read this scripture to out group of prayer warriors and just share that it is NOT OUR MISSION to go out and seek the LOST. We are joining GOD'S MISSION! I know the difference is subtle. But, we are not doing something NEW and SPECIAL. We are doing something God has been doing since the fall of Adam and Eve. Sometimes I act like this is MY calling, like it is MY mission, like I have to DO everything because God is sitting back waiting on me. NO, GOD is sending us. None of this happens without the power of the HOLY SPIRIT working and sending us into the world. 

So, I get done with prayer and I began to do my normal Bible study and I read 1 Corinthians 1. The message was the same:

"This confirms that what I told you about Christ is true. Now YOU HAVE EVERY SPIRITUAL GIFT YOU NEED as you eagerly wait for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has INVITED YOU INTO PARTNERSHIP with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." (1 Corinthians 1:6-9, NLT, emphasis added)

The message for me today is that GOD has given me everything I need to join HIS MISSION. He has invited US into PARTNERSHIP with him. I do not need special training. I don't need more than I already have to join him in the field harvesting the lost. We just need to GO. I just need to go!

Heavenly Father, I praise you for the gifts you provide for us to go in the world and make disciples. We are more than adequately prepared. We have been given all that we need to do your work. Thank you. Lord, help me be obedient in seeking the lost, sharing your good news and growing the kingdom It truly is your mission and we are just honored to be called to be your messengers! Amen!
