Confidence!

 This week I finished my 40 days of fasting. I was fasting and praying about several situations at church. They were nothing earth-shattering, but just asking the Lord to intervene. He has clearly spoken in one of those situations and I have CONFIDENCE he will also respond in the other area. 

How much confidence do you have in JESUS? Do you trust him with your actions? What I mean is, do you worry and fret when a prayer is not answered or do you live with confidence that the LORD will prevail. For me, I have finished the time of fasting with confidence the Lord will intervene. Please understand I wasn't praying that the LORD would follow my requests. I was praying that he would just guide, direct, lead, and speak to me about what path to take. I do not have some master plan because I know God does have that master plan. 

All through the second chapter of Mark, Jesus demonstrates his miraculous power. He forgives sin, heals a paralytic, Grows the Kingdom, has dinner with a bunch of sinners, and teaches that he is LORD OF ALL. He exudes confidence and power over all the earth. I praise him, trust him, and have the utmost confidence in him. 

"My heart is confident in you, O God! my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing your praises! Wake up, my heart! Wake up, O lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song. I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations. For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth." (Psalm 57:7-11, NLT)

I just don't understand those who do not have CONFIDENCE in the Lord. When we see his power over all things, the Sun, the Moon, the seasons, the life and breath of everything that surrounds us, I just can't imagine NOT trusting him. I praise the Lord my God for all he does for us each day and what that means for us NOW and forevermore. 

Heavenly Father, I praise your name for the amazing love you show us. I praise you because you are within every single detail of life. I praise you for the JOY of MY SALVATION. I praise you for the CROSS and the defeat of death on that FIRST EASTER MORNING! Thank you Lord, THANK YOU, Thank You, THANK YOU! Amen!
