Counting on the HOLY SPIRIT inside a BUSY WEEK!

 

This has been a CRAZY FUN WEEK!

VBS week has been so much fun but I have to admit, I am kind of on autopilot. Today will be another one of those days. I am behind on sermon writing. I am behind on implementing more discipleship groups. I have neglected my traditional prayer time and study time and I am ok with it all because I have felt God's presence. 

Today I opened up Acts 1 and read, once again, about the power of the Holy Spirit. 

"So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, 'Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?' He replied, 'The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. But you will receive the power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere -- in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:6-8, NLT)

When you dedicate your self to following Jesus, you can leave your life on autopilot because the control is completely turned over to the power of the HOLY SPIRIT living inside of you. God is working in the busyness of your life to guide and direct you in ways you cannot fully comprehend. Right now, even though I am crazy busy, I am accomplishing his purposes. He is working and I praise God for that. Anything that I have on my list of TO-DOs can wait. The Holy Spirit knows what truly needs to be completed to fulfill his purposes, for his glory, and his plan. 

I praise God for the times of quiet and peace, but I also praise him for the busyness and the craziness of a schedule that is packed with service to my Lord and Savior. I will accomplish what the Lord wants accomplished, in his time, in his power! PRAISE GOD!

Thank you Lord, for filling me with your Spirit. Thank you for accomplishing all that needs to be done even in the middle of a multi-page to-do-list. I love how you truly do work all things for your glory and purpose. I praise you Lord because you are always with me and you always have the answers to life's uncertainties. Thank you Lord that we are able to serve you. Thank you Lord for allowing us to be a part of your master plan. Continue to watch over us and guide our steps. All praise to you! AMEN!
