YOUR VALUE IN JESUS

What are you worth? If you are talking about chemical value, you are only worth about $160. i have seen estimates up to about $1900 because of some rare trace elements. As I was researching this topic, I found out that your medical and transplant value could be worth as much as  $1 million. Of course the government puts value on your life economically. The US government says, economically you are worth about $8 million. Wow! I was pretty surprised by those numbers. We are worth a lot. But, it is like selling a home. If someone says your home is worth a million dollars, but you can't sell it and really get the money, is it REALLY WORTH that amount?

As Christians we often count ourselves as "UNWORTHY" which really means we have no worth or no value. When John the Baptist was telling the crowd about the Messiah, he said much the same thing:

"John answered their questions by saying, 'I baptize you with water; but someone is coming soon who is greater than I am -- so much greater that I'm not even worthy to be his slave and untie the straps of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. He is ready to separate the chaff from the wheat with his winnowing fork. The he will clean up the threshing area, gathering the wheat into his barn, but burning the chaff with never-ending fire.'" (Luke 3:16-17, NLT)

We are unworthy, but that does not mean we have no value. Money is a good way to think of this. The pen and the ink on a 100 DOLLAR BILL is worth nothing unless it is backed by the United States government. We also are unworthy. We have little value without a relationship with JESUS CHRIST as our MESSIAH. AND here is the thing about VALUE IN JESUS, we do get to reap the rewards of that value added to our life. When we are redeemed we instantly get to SELL-OFF all that we are to reap the rewards and joy in eternity. 

The world doesn't understand the REAL VALUE of a HUMAN LIFE. Life is not about the millions of dollars we can get selling our parts. REAL WORTHINESS is only found in JESUS CHRIST. WE are UNWORTHY without JESUS, but He gives us an ULTIMATE WORTH way beyond all we could ever hope and imagine, PRAISE GOD! Thank you, Lord, for giving my life meaning, purpose, and value as I go through each day. None of that happens without his intervention. 

Heavenly Father, I feel so valuable in your Kingdom. I am completely humbled knowing you are always with me, adding VALUE to my weaknesses, my failings, and my sinful self. I love serving you and only you. Thank you for making me feel worthy! Amen!
