What a day!

 

Do you remember the song "What a day, glorious day that will be!"? It came to my mind while I was reading Matthew 24 and the end of the world. It is on that day, JESUS WILL RETURN. That day, will be a glorious day. There really are two possibilities. Either I just pass from this earth and get to see Jesus face to face, or Jesus returns and I get to see him face to face. Either way, I WIN! If I were a betting man, I would say the time is very close. It may seem like a strange question, but how much worse can it get. 

"Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who enudres to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:12-14, NLT)

There seems to be so much SIN in this world. There is so much hate and division in the world that you have to admit people's love has grown cold. So, we must ENDURE to the end. The Good News is still being preached throughout the whole world and we have to be close to everyone hearing the message. We must ENDURE. 

The anguish spoke about in Matthew 24 does. not mean we are the ones who will be sorrowful. The lost, the ones that have ignored Jesus are the ones to be filled with tears of sorrow. For ME, for US, the followers of Jesus we will rejoice on the day of Jesus' return or we will rejoice when we pass from this earth to his Kingdom. We will not face the sorrow or pain of separation. 

We do not know the day or the hour, but we do know the day or the hour is coming soon. And As Matthew tells us:

"So you, too, must keep watch! For you don't know what day  your Lord is coming!" (Matthew 24:42, NLT)

I praise God with complete confidence that he is going to appear. That certainly will be a glorious day! 

Heavenly Father, we do not have a death wish, but we have a LIFE WISH. We cannot wait to LIVE LIFE in eternity with you. Please, Lord, help us to endure until the end. Help us to be vigilant, keep watch, until that final day when we se JESUS returns. AMEN!
