Donations Then and Now!

On November 28th, I wrote a blog "I hate asking for money..." Today is no different. As I was reading 2 Kings 12, King Joash had to ask for money to maintain the deteriorating Temple:

"One day King Joash said the the priests: ' Collect all the money brought as a sacred offering to the Lord's Temple, whether it is a regular assessment, a payment of vows, or a voluntary gift. Lt the priests take some of that money to pay for whatever repairs are needed at the Temple." (2 Kings 12:4,5)

But, somehow that was not happening and the King had to make a second appeal.

"But by the twenty-third year of Joash's reign, the priests still had not repaired the Temple. So King Joash called for Jehoiada and the other priests and asked them, 'Why haven't you repaired the Temple? Don't use any more money for your own needs. From now on, it must all be spent on Temple repairs.' So the priests agreed not to accept any more money from the people, and they also agreed to let others take responsibility for repairing the Temple." (2 Kings 12:7,8)

As "the meeting place" and our partner Missionary Ventures ended 2023, we both did not reach our financial goals for the year. Are we worried? NO, we understand the power of the Lord and if we remain faithful to his will and the calling to spread the gospel, GOD WILL PROVIDE.

God has provided wonderful financial and prayerful partners in the past 18 months. We have received donations from more than sixty people and organizations. We are blessed beyond all we deserve. We do not ask for financial support from anyone we minister to. We count on God's faithful followers to support us and you all have done that. Yet, just like King Joash, we still need your support and appeal to you to either donate to our ministry through MVI or support MVI's overall ministry. We truly believe in the ministry of MVI and its missionaries around the world. We are just ONE of those missionaries. Just like our ministry, MVI is funded through the gifts of God's faithful followers.

Joash raised enough money to repair the Temple. He did not waste those funds on frivolous things. We also honor your funds that go directly to the ministry. Any donations we receive go directly to keeping the lights on and supporting our outreach to those who may not feel comfortable in a traditional church. We have used those funds to support the homeless, and those in need, providing weekly meals for our groups, and the needs of our building maintenance. None of those funds support Stephanie and me directly. God has blessed us so that we do not receive a salary and our living expenses are not a part of our ministry expenses. Praise God!

Thank you for your support both financially and with your prayers. If you ever feel led to financially support our ministry with MVI in the future, please use this link:

Also, the CORE MISSION of MVI could use your support. Please prayerfully consider a CORE MISSION donation for this wonderful Holy Spirit-filled organization at this link below:
